About Us

The Crowe Group, Inc. is a commercial general contracting firm in Abilene, Texas.

John Crowe founded the company originally known as John Crowe & Associates, Inc. in 1985. In 1997, the name was changed to The Crowe Group, Inc. with his sons Tim and Jed joining in the ownership of the company. The Crowe Group, Inc. has successfully completed commercial construction projects in all building sectors that include: medical, retail, industrial, institutional, educational, and office.

They have the capability and experience to complete ground up projects, building additions, remodels, commercial finish out, and provide design build solutions. The Crowe Group, Inc.’s primary focus is the Abilene area. With our office located in Abilene, management is able to oversee all work in person on a daily basis.

We understand that projects can be expensive and the fear of being over budget is real and valid. Construction Management At-Risk (CMAR) is when the appointed Construction Manager produces the project within a Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP). This Construction Manager must manage and control construction costs to not exceed the GMP, which would be a financial hit to the CM Company. Basically, we do not exceed your set price by planning, budgeting, and making sure your dollar is spent wisely.

    Jed Crowe’s construction experience began as a construction laborer as a teenager. After graduating from college, he joined the family construction business and worked in the field eventually superintending projects before moving into the office to be a project manager. Over the past several years, Jed has worked in all sectors of commercial construction including education, retail, industrial, health and financial. In addition to managing projects, he is responsible for the day-to-day oversight and overall management of the organization. He works closely with Project Managers and Superintendents to oversee pre-construction, construction and close out of projects.

His responsibilities include estimating, submittal review, scheduling, cost management and closeout on a wide range of projects.     Danny joined The Crowe Group Inc in 1995. Danny worked as a Journeyman Carpenter for many years and has been a Jobsite Superintendent since 2017. Danny brings first hand working knowledge to every project he works on.
